Salmon with Mango Kivi Relish

This special recipe manages to be both simple and fancy at the same time.  Do you want to get constant compliments from your guests on your crazy BBQ skills?   Well 🙂  Look no further.  This dish takes about 30 min of waiting for marinade do infuse its flavor into the salmon and 30 min to prepare and grill while you have that cold one or a glass of wine with your friends.  And it results in some of the juiciest and tastiest salmon dish you will ever try.

Velesco Gril Salmon


1/2 cup of diced Mango
1/2 cup of diced Kiwi
1/4 cup of Cilantro (if you like)
1/2 cup of freshly squized Orange juice


1 tablespoon of Honey
2 teaspoons of Soy Sauce
1 teaspoon of  Olive Oil
1/4 teaspoon of Black Papper
4 Salmon Fillets


Marinade the salmon fillets for 30 min.  Then grill them turning every 3-5 minutes to keep them from drying out.  Do not overcook.  If preparing indoors, you can fry it until you get light brown crust then bake for 15 minutes at 375f to finish off on our amazing Velesco baking mat without use of any extra oils.  After salmon is grilled, simply plate it, cover with Fruit Relish we prepared and serve.  End result does not only tastes wonderful, it also looks great and its very easy to plate in many gorgeous ways that will easily work in any setting.  Enjoy and dont forget to subscribe to our site's notification as we constantly post new great food ideas.

Great Wine Pairing

Forget about old norms about Red wine for red meat and white wine for fish and poultry.  There are many low acidity/tannin red wines will work wonderful with salmon.

  • Pinot Noir is a red wine but it has relatively low tannin content
  • Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio. works well due to its moderate to low acidity
  • Rosé Wine
  • Chardonnay. Just awesome 🙂
  • Sauvignon Blanc
  • Riesling.
